The Mt Evelyn Street Party is a biennial event in one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets; on the outskirts of Melbourne metro, at the junction of the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley, is our beautiful and vibrant township.
Hosted by Mt Evelyn Township Group, the Street Party commenced in 2001 and has evolved into a feature event on the Yarra Ranges calendar, attracting people from all over.
At Mt Evelyn’s Street Party we celebrate the 1950s in a way that you’ve never seen it before; with rock’n’roll dancing, musicians and roving performers, fashion contests, classic cars, school children on stage, memorabilia and the best dressed contests. There are competitions, loads of free activities for children and a huge marketplace, as well as plenty of food and drinks both from stallholders and our superb local cafes.
