Thank you, thank you, thank you…

The Mt Evelyn Township Group and its Street Party subcomittee say thank you! For performing at the Street Party in the heat of the day; driving a shuttle bus for hours on end; holding a stall as a fundraiser or as a small business; visiting Mt Evelyn from afar; ensuring locals could get a park at the IGA supermarket; for facepainting more faces than you can count; dancing your feet off on asphalt; or putting up with not being able to find a car park when trying to buy your Sunday morning newspaper. You are ALL AMAZING.

The next Street Party is in 2 years time, but while it’s fresh on all our minds we are keen to hear your thoughts. Please consider giving us your feedback now, using the form below.

Chess Simul

Introducing the Street Party Chess Simul!

Brian Herlihy chess master

A Chess Simul is where a skilled chess player (in this case Brian Herlihy) plays many people at the same time (Ie. Simul = Simultaneous).

We will have places for up to 20 players at each of the 2 sessions, 10-12 and 1-3, located by the Warburton Trail near the main stage.

All are welcome and no restrictions on skill level.

The Mt Evelyn Chess Club will be launched on the day. It will be held weekly at Hardy House and we are finalising the day and times but Monday evenings are looking most likely at this stage. For more information head to their Facebook Page here.

Street Parade

There’s still time to enter your group in the Street Parade, which will launch the day at 10am, on Sunday, October 29.  Open to any local business or NFP organisation, 50s enthusiasts, dancers, sporting groups, schools, everyone is welcome. We’ll make some noise and celebrate the beginning of our party on the street!

So quickly, register below. It’s easy!
